Diwali 2024: Things To Keep In Mind While Worshipping Goddess Laxmi To Bring Prosperity

Rules to remember during Maa Lakshmi's evening puja on Diwali. Following these steps will invite the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi into your home, bringing prosperity and happiness.

Diwali 2024: On October 31, 2024, Diwali will be celebrated across India on the auspicious day of Kartik Amavasya. Homes, offices, factories, and shops are adorned for the festival, with the worship of Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and prosperity, as a central ritual. Kartik Amavasya is especially considered a highly favorable date for Lakshmi Puja, as per tradition.

According to religious beliefs, on Kartik Amavasya, Goddess Lakshmi descends upon Earth on her divine vehicle. It is believed that in homes where she is worshipped with due respect, she bestows blessings of happiness and prosperity.

However, performing the Lakshmi Puja on Diwali requires attention to specific rituals, timings, and mantras. Even a minor oversight might hinder the effectiveness of the prayer, so it’s essential to be mindful of certain steps and avoid common mistakes while performing the Lakshmi Puja.
