Ravindra Jadeja imitates Bancroft’s ball-tampering incident

The opening encounter of the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians at Wankhade Stadium, Mumbai on 7th April.

Jadeja along with DJ Bravo later laughed their heart out over the incident.

Similar to Bancroft, Jadeja was seen taking out something from his pocket and shoving it in his trousers while holding the ball in one hand.

During a friendly match ahead of their opening encounter of IPL 11, Jadeja was seen imitating Bancroft on the field.

The autograph became an instant hit on social media as Bancroft was caught on camera roughing up one side of the ball with the sandpaper.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja too has now come up with his own version of the sandpaper gate.

Ross Taylor during the second Test against England was spotted giving an autograph to a fan on a piece of sand paper.

Amid criticism and applause, social media was flooded with funny reactions too over the infamous incident.

Different reactions poured in from the cricketing circuit as many lauded the ban slapped by the cricket governing body while there were some who criticized the move terming the suspension too harsh.

While captain Smith and his deputy David Warner received a ban of 12 months, 25-year-old Bancroft was slapped with a 9-month suspension.

The tainted trio of Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft were recently banned by Cricket Australia for their involvement in ball tampering scandal.
