In an official statement, New Zealand Cricket confirmed that Devon Conway has been in isolation at the team's Christchurch hotel after testing positive for Covid-19 ahead of NZ vs PAK 4th T20I.

As a precautionary measure, Canterbury Kings batsman Chad Bowes will join the New Zealand squad to provide cover.

New Zealand Cricket additionally affirmed that bowling coach, Andre Adams, has tested positive for COVID-19 and will continue to stay at the team's hotel as part of the necessary precautions.

Earlier, Mitchell Santner had to miss 1st T20I between New Zealand and Pakistan after testing positive for the same ailment, leading to his temporary exclusion from the team.

Conway's absence, who is a key player, doesn't make much difference as New Zealand have already secured victory in the five-match series.
