Phalguna Vinayak Chaturthi 2025 Date And Time:

The Vinayak Chaturthi of the Phalguna month will be observed on March 3, 2025. The Shukla Chaturthi tithi will begin on March 2, 2025, at 9:01 PM, and will end on March 3, 2025, at 6:02 PM.

Auspicious Puja Timings: The ideal time for Ganesha Puja on this day will be between 11:23 AM and 1:43 PM.

Moonrise Timing And Restrictions:

On March 3, 2025, the moonrise is expected between 8:40 AM and 10:11 PM. As per tradition, devotees should avoid sighting the moon on this day.

How To Please Lord Ganesha On Vinayak Chaturthi:

Devotees should chant at least 12 names of Lord Ganesha to seek his blessings and remove future obstacles. The 12 names are: Sumukh, Ekadant, Kapil, Gajkarnak, Lambodar, Vikat, Vighna-Nash, Vinayak, Dhumraketu, Ganadhipa, Bhalachandra, and Gajanan.

For the puja, devotees should offer five seasonal fruits, laddoos made from black sesame seeds and jaggery, flowers, durva grass, and akshat (unbroken rice grains) to Lord Ganesha.

The fast is traditionally concluded at night by offering milk to the Moon God (Chandra) after moonrise. Devotees typically break their fast by consuming milk and sweet potatoes. Women observing the vrat can consume regular food the following day.
