YouTuber Couple From Tamil Nadu Arrested For Promoting Obscenity While Hosting Live PUBG Game
Cyber sleuths nabbed YouTuber Madan in Dharamapuri today for using obscene language towards young women while live-streaming of PUBG game.
Chennai: CBI's Cyber Crime Wing has nabbed the absconded YouTuber Madan Manikkam also known as PUBG Madan in Dharamapuri district, Tamil Nadu on June 18.
Police arrested his wife, Krithika, the administrator of the channel, on June 16 and has frozen her bank accounts.
The arrest was made based on complaints lodged against him for obscene conversations with teenagers, while hosting live-streaming PUBG gaming videos.
Madan's YouTube channel has more than eight lakhs of subscribers, of which 30% are minors.
This news has outraged many on social media.
According to police, Madan will be brought to Chennai and remanded to judicial after an interrogation. Police will also interrogate those who took part on his online chats.
Madan was at large for many days avoiding arrest in the case. On Friday, a police team arrested him in Dharmapuri launching a manhunt.
