Justin Trudeau, outgoing Prime Minister of Canada, gave an emotional farewell speech, emphasising his commitment to Canadians. He expressed his determination to continue supporting them in the future.

The Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, broke down in front of the camera on Thursday while delivering his farewell speech. The outgoing premier, who has been in power for nearly a decade, said that he put "Canadians first" every single day as the prime minister and won't let them down in the future as well.

"On a personal level, I have made sure that every single day in this office, I put Canadians first, that I have people's backs. That's why I am here to tell you all that we got you. Even in the very last days of this government, we will not let Canadians down today and long into the future," Trudeau said, as quoted by NDTV.

In January, Trudeau had announced his resignation reportedly due to the growing dissent and declining popularity ratings. He remains as the interim prime minister of the country until a successor takes over.

Canada Will Not Back Down From Fight Against Trade War: Trudeau

PM Trudeau said that his country will not back down from a fight against the trade war initiated by US President Donald Trump. Speaking at a press conference, he said that there is no justification for the trade war Canada and the US are entangled in, and Canada will challenge the move by Donald Trump, reports the Xinhua news agency.

Trudeau vowed that American families, and Trump, will soon feel how damaging the tariffs are. Speaking to the camera, he addressed Trump directly, saying, This is a very dumb thing to do. Trudeau accused Trump of wanting to see a complete collapse of the Canadian economy, believing that's the reason Trump is moving ahead so aggressively.
