Taliban Confirms Hibatullah Akhundzada To Be The Supreme Leader of Afghanistan Govt
According to a report by Tolo News, Anamullah Samangani, a member of the Taliban's cultural commission confirmed that Akhundzada will also be the leader of the new government.
New Delhi: Amid speculations over the leader of the new government in Afghanistan, the Taliban have said that Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada will be the leader under whom a prime minister or president will run the country.
According to a report by Tolo News, Anamullah Samangani, a member of the Taliban's cultural commission confirmed that Akhundzada will also be the leader of the new government.

"Consultations are almost finalised on the new government, and the necessary discussions have also been held about the cabinet. The Islamic government that we will announce will be a model for the people. There is no doubt about the presence of the Commander of the Faithful (Akhunzada) in the government. He will be the leader of the government and there should be no question on this," Samangani said, as per a report by Tolo News.
After since the complete takeover of Kabul by the Taliban organisation, there have been continuous talks over new system, government, policies and more. As per several media reports, the Taliban say that consultations are finalised on forming the new government, public discussions have not been held over the system's name, the national flag or national anthem.

While the Taliban has reportedly appointed governors, police chiefs and police commanders for different provinces and districts, there are reports claiming that there will also be a prime minister's post in the next government.
