Two Injured In Fight Between Maldivians And Indians In Maldives: Report

The fight between the two groups took place near Central Park in Hulhumale, around 7 km Northeast of Male, at around 9:00 pm on Monday.

Two persons have sustained injuries during an altercation between a group of Maldivians and Indians, a report said on Tuesday.

The fight between the two groups took place near Central Park in Hulhumale, around 7 km Northeast of Male, at around 9:00 pm on Monday, PTI quoted Adhadhu.com as saying.

It said that a Maldivian has been detained following the altercation, the police reportedly said. However, there were no reports on the identity of those injured.

The two people who sustained serious injuries were taken to Hulhumale Hospital and were later released after treatment.

According to the report, the clashes broke out between a group of Maldivians and Indians inside the park and that further investigations were underway.
