The Canadian police have released a photo of the suspect who was involved in the attack on Rao.

According to CNN-News18, a person came to the office of Rahat related to alleged money exchange work, set him on fire, and ran away. Rao is a member of the Canadian-Pakistani community.

Canada PM Alleges Involvement Of Indian Govt In killing Of Khalistani Terrorist

Nijjar's death led to a significant diplomatic rift between India and Canada. In September of last year, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged the potential involvement of Indian government agents in the killing of the Khalistani terrorist. India strongly denied these allegations, labelling them as "absurd" and "motivated."

Following the killing of Nijjar,  the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) teams visited the office of Rahat Rao in Surrey. He was interrogated by the police for nearly two hours, including questions about Nijjar. Sources disclosed to CNN-News18 that he was compelled to delete all posts from his social media pages in the presence of the RCMP.
