Viral Sach: Here is why 'Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai' is trending

New Delhi: After the demonetisation step taken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government, something very hilarious has happened. A name Sonam Gupta started trending on a Rs 2000 note. On Monday, 'Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai' (Sonam Gupta is unfaithful) was among the top trends. It seemed like a jilted lover decided to give it back to one Sonam Gupta for being unfaithful to him. In the process, he maligned all the girls with a similar name! Social media users had hilarious reactions to this particular Rs 2000 note. On the internet, earlier this year, an old Rs 10 note surfaced with the words, 'Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai' written on it. But as time passed, she was forgotten. But recently, after PM Modi's notes ban (of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes), Sonam Gupta suddenly returned to the limelight once again. 2222 While people were struggling to get their Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes exchanged, this rejected lover made a comeback. In an image circulated on the web, the new Rs 2,000 note had the same words, 'Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai', written on it! Seemingly, the man couldn't successfully warn men of Sonam last time, therefore, he returned! And netizens have been creating hilarious memes around it... again!
