The message claims that President Pranab Mukherjee’s salary is Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand. The message says PM Modi’s salary is Rs 1 lakh 60 thousand but Kejriwal gets Rs 3 lakh 60 thousand. Here is the reality: President gets Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand as salary per month. Government releases Rs 22 crore per year for the upkeep of Rashtrapati Bhavan and other expenditures. He gets Rs 50,000 as basic pay He gets Rs 3,000 as expenditure-related allowance He gets Rs 2 thousand per day that amounts to Rs 60,000 per month as other allowances He gets Rs 45,000 per month as parliamentary constituency allowance.
