'Swarm Of Ants' Force Change Of Air India Plane With Bhutan Prince On Board

New Delhi: In an unusual incident, an Air India plane had to abort its London-bound flight from taking off from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, thanks to pests! Yes, the airline had aborted the flight and replaced it after a complaint was raised about pests in the business class section.
Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, the son and heir apparent of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan was among the fliers who were on board flight AI-111, according to the news agency ANI.
It is reported that a swarm of ants was found in the business class of AI-111 flight which aborted take-off from Delhi airport.

The aircraft was in the passenger bay at the time of complaint after which the flight was changed which took off later.
Earlier in July, an Air India Express flight on its way to Saudi Arabia had an emergency landing at Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram International airport after a crack in the windshield.
The flight made a precautionary landing after flying for an hour, and had no passengers, and was only carrying cargo and crew members.
This particular flight was on its way scheduled for Dammam to Thiruvananthapuram flight operation. However, another aircraft was deployed to replace the scheduled flight operation flight with another set of crew.
In fact, in May, an Air India flight to Newark in the United States returned to Delhi after a bat was spotted inside the plane. The flight made an emergency landing after 30 minutes after take-off.
The aircraft landed safely and wildlife staff was called to catch and remove the bat's carcass, Air India officials told ANI then. The bat had been found dead inside the plane's business class area.
