Royal Enfield Launches Classic 350 Signal ABS At Rs 1.61 Lakh (ex-Pune)
The special edition RE pays tribute to the Signal Corps of the Indian army
Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 350 Signal edition at Rs 1,61,934 (ex-Pune). This model pays tribute to the Indian Air Force Corps of Signals, the division that oversees military communications. The bike is available in two colours: matte blue and matte desert brown and gets a single brown seat cover. Each bike will receive a unique serial number on the fuel tank along with the Air Force division's insignia. In addition, it gets accessories like a large windshield and tank bags. The instrument console now receives a low furl warning indicator lamp in place of the ammeter on earlier bikes.
On the mechanical front, the bike gets dual channel ABS, making it the first Royal Enfield bike to be available with that feature. It complements the front and rear disc brake setup of the bike. Other than that, this special edition remains mechanically similar to the standard Classic 350. It gets the same 346cc air-cooled single-cylinder powerplant that pushes out 20PS at 5250rpm and 28Nm of peak torque at 4000rpm.
Suspension setup includes 35mm front telescopic forks and twin gas charged rear shock absorbers.
The Classic 350 signal Corps edition commands a Rs 23,000 premium over the standard Classic 350 which retails for Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-Delhi). It faces competition from the UM Renegade Commando Classic (Rs 2 lakh) and the Bajaj Dominar (Rs 1.62 lakh, both prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
