Railway Police Cannot Check Your Ticket During Rail Travel, Learn About Ticket Rules

Only TTE has the right to check the tickets of passengers during travel. In this case, if someone else checks your ticket, you can complain about it.

Railway Ticket Checking Rules: Trains are called the Lifeline of India. All of you must have traveled by train at some point in your life. Are you aware of who can check your ticket while traveling by train? Let us inform you about the ticket checking rules in Railways. It is very common to see RPF (Railway Police Force) check the tickets of the passengers. But, let us tell you that it's against the rules. In railways, this right is only with the TTE. Only TTE can check passengers' tickets.

Only TTE has the right to fine

Sometimes passengers board the train without a ticket. This should be avoided. But, even if someone has done so, the power to impose a fine is only with the ticket checking staff. If you have forgotten to take a ticket in a hurry, talk to TTE and get an authorized ticket. Day in and day out, it is seen that sometimes RPF policemen start checking your ticket and there are incidents of intimidation and extortion when there is no ticket.

If such an incident happens to you, there is no need to pay in fear. First, make an authorized ticket with the help of TTE and complain about the incident to a senior officer. According to railway rules, if a policeman is caught doing so, strict action will be taken against him and he can be suspended. Only during a magistrate raid can the police help check tickets. But, even during that time, the police does not have the right to impose fines.
