More powerful Mahindra Bolero ’Power+’ launched at Rs 6.59 lakh

New Delhi: Mahindra is looking to revamp the Bolero name in the Indian market. Before the launch of asmaller sub-four metre Bolero, the Indian SUV maker has launched a more powerful variant of the SUV. Christened as the 'New Bolero Power+', it comes with a 1.5-litre mHawkD70 diesel engine which delivers 13 per cent more power and five per cent more mileage over the existing Bolero. The New Bolero Power+ is available in three variants – SLE, SLX & ZLX at the starting price of Rs 6.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Navi Mumbai). More powerful Mahindra Bolero ’Power+’ launched at Rs 6.59 lakh The mHawkD70 diesel engine produces 71.3PS power and 195Nm of torque. The earlier m2DiCR 2.5-litre diesel motor produced 63PS power and 195Nm of torque. With the advanced motor, the mileage has also been increased by five per cent. Mahindra also claims that the handling of the Bolero Power+ has been made better and that the SUV is now 'more manoeuvrable, making weaving in and out of traffic a breeze'. The interiors of the Bolero remains identical to the earlier one but the cushioning of the seats have improved, resulting in a more comfortable ride. In terms of the exterior design, the Bolero Power+ largely remains identical to the standard Bolero. Look closer and you will see a slightly reworked front bumper. The grille, air dam, headlights and everything else remains the same. It is available in four different colour options - Diamond White, Rocky Beige, Java Brown and Silver. More powerful Mahindra Bolero ’Power+’ launched at Rs 6.59 lakh The Bolero Power+ features Mahindra's Micro Hybrid technology on the ZLX variant, which increases the fuel efficiency of the SUV. This technology allows the vehicle to intelligently switch the engine into standby mode when not required – ensuring lower fuel consumption while being more environment-friendly. Another feature which has been added in the Bolero Power+ is the engine immobiliser, which shuts down the engine if any key other than your key is used, ensuring safety of the vehicle.
