The High Court judge reprimanded Vijay for not mentioning his profession while the petition was filed

Chennai: The Madras High Court came down heavily on actor Vijay for challenging tax exemption on his Rolls Royce and fined him Rs one lakh. Actor Vijay, had filed a case in the Madras HC seeking exemption from tax on a Rolls Royce imported from the UK in 2012. The High Court ordered the actor Vijay to pay a fine of Rs 1 lakh for tax evasion on his luxury car and the court further ordered that the fine should be paid within two weeks to the Chief Minister’s Covid Relief Fund.
