Jammu & Kashmir: 2 Policemen Martyred As Militants Open Fire In Srinagar; Second Attack In 3 Days

Srinagar Attack: The area in the Srinagar has been cordoned off and a search operation has been launched by the security forces to nab the terrorists who opened fire at the police party. 

In yet another terrorist attack, unidentified gunman opened fire in Baghat area of Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir on Friday, leaving two policemen dead. According to the reports, the militants shot the two policemen from close range. The duo was rushed to a hospital after they sustained bullet injuries, but both of them succumbed to their wounds. 

Meanwhile, the area in the Srinagar has been cordoned off and a search operation has been launched by the security forces to nab the terrorists who opened fire at the police party. 

An encounter broke out between the security forces and terrorists at Beerwah in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir earlier today. According to the latest report, security forces have killed 3 terrorists in Shopian and have recovered heavy arms and ammunitions. Security forces are searching for other terrorists.

This is the second attack in the city in the past three days. Earlier this week on Wednesday, unidentified militants opened fire ata son of a restaurant owner in high-security Durganag area of the city.
