With Approval Rating Of 77%, PM Modi Tops List Of Most Popular Global Leaders: Report

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was followed by Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (64%), Switzerland's Alain Berset (57%) and Poland's Donald Tusk (50%).

With an approval rating of 77%, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again topped the list of world leaders, as per a survey by Morning Consult.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi topped the list of world leaders with 77% approval and 17% disapproval. The Indian Prime Minister was followed by Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (64%), Switzerland's Alain Berset (57%) and Poland's Donald Tusk (50%).

The ratings represent a seven-day moving average of opinions of the younger population from each surveyed country, according to the Morning Consult.

"Data points featured in this tracker represent trailing 7-day simple moving averages of daily surveys. Bar chart values correspond to the average value from the latest indicated date; leaders in that chart are sorted by total approval shares," the website stated.

Among others who were in the list include: Italy's Giorgia Meloni (7th position), US' Joe Biden (9th position), Canadian PM Justin Trudeau (10th position) and UK PM Rishi Sunak (12th position). Other world leaders including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, South Korea's Yoon Suk Yeol, French President Emmanuel Macron and Sweden's Ulf Kristersson were also on the list.

Earlier in December too, PM Narendra Modi ranked as the most popular leader in the world, with 76 percent approval rating of his leadership, according to Morning Consult.

In November 2023, statistics showed that Modi enjoyed a 78 percent approval rating with only a 17 percent disapproval rating.

Morning Consult is a global decision intelligence company changing how modern leaders make smarter, faster, better decisions, the company said in its website.

The firm pairs its proprietary high-frequency data with applied artificial intelligence to better inform decisions on what people think and how they will act.

Earlier, BJP leaders have asserted that "Modi ki guarantee" and "Modi's magic" have been endorsed even by an international survey with Prime Minister Modi topping the approval ratings among world leaders multiple times.
