Will Tejashwi Yadav Become RJD President? Shivanand Tiwari Responds To Sushil Modi's Question
Sushil Modi has said that no person outside the Lalu family can become the national president of RJD. Even if the top position was given to someone else, it would only be a facade.
Patna: Bihar politics have often been a hot topic of discussion. Once again, debates have begun over posts in the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Will Tejashwi Yadav will be a contender for the posts of both RJD President and Chief Minister? On Tuesday, when former Deputy CM of Bihar and Rajya Sabha member Sushil Kumar Modi asked this question, Shivanand Tiwari was compelled to answer.
Sushil Modi has said that no person outside the Lalu family can become the national president or working president of the RJD. Even if the top position was given to someone else, it would only be a facade. He said that there is neither internal democracy in RJD, nor does the party have any relations with farmers, labourers, and or Dalits. It is a party of landlords.
Handling RJD Isn't An Impossible Job: Shivanand
Shivanand Tiwari asked why there should be a change in the RJD and what the change will be. Tejashwi is our leader; the Bihar assembly elections were fought under his leadership. There were no visible deficiencies and no need for any changes. What will Tejashwi becoming the national president help achieve? Handling the RJD is not an impossible job, but there is no need for change right now.
Shivanand Tiwari said, “Lalu Yadav, the Legislature Party, and party officials have already confirmed that Tejaswi will lead the party. Tejashwi would never want to take away his father's post. Lalu Prasad Yadav delivered a tremendous speech on the RJD foundation day. I never thought he would be able to give a speech given his ill health, but he gave a solid, political speech."
Shivanand Tiwari said that Lalu Yadav has unparalleled experience, which cannot be taught in schools and colleges. Tejashwi Yadav is benefitting from his father's experience. The media thinks Tejashwi will become the national president, but there is no need for that at the moment.
