When Lawrence Bishnoi Claimed Responsibility For Killing Wanted Gangster Sukha Duneke In Canada

The Canada Police has alleged that "agents" of the Indian government were collaborating with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to spread terror on Canadian soil.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang last year claimed responsibility for the killing of Sukhdool Singh alias Sukha Duneke, wanted by the National Investigation Agency for his links with pro-Khalistan terrorists, in Canada.

In a Facebook post, Bishnoi's gang had claimed that Duneke played a key role in the murders of gangsters Gurlal Brar and Vicky Middukhera. The Bishnoi gang had said Duneke was a "drug addict' who got "punished for his sins".

Who Was Sukha Duneke?

Duneke was a "Category A" gangster from Punjab's Moga. He fled to Canada on a fake passport in 2017 and was a close associate of gangster and Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Dalla. He was one of 43 gangsters with links to Khalistan and Canada mentioned in a list released by anti-terror agency NIA last year.

Bishnoi, a gangster from Punjab, is jailed in Ahmedabad on drug smuggling charges that are being investigated by the NIA. Bishnoi is an accused in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddique and singer Sidhu Moosewala.

There has been a fresh diplomatic standoff between India and Canada, and the Canada Police has alleged that "agents" of the Indian government were collaborating with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to spread terror on Canadian soil.

The Ministry of External Affairs on Monday announced the expelling of six Canadian diplomats including Acting High Commissioner Stewart Ross Wheeler amid an escalating row over the investigation into the murder of pro-Khalistan Sikh radical Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The diplomats have been asked to leave India by or before 11:59 PM on October 19 (Saturday).

Nijjar was a 45-year-old Indian terrorist and leader of the banned Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF). He was shot and killed outside a gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia, on June 18 last year. He was one of India's most wanted terrorists, with a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on his head.
