West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee Slams BJP Govt On Rising Inflation
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that instead of bringing "Acche Din" BJP is finishing the nation.
New Delhi: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday slammed the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) government regarding the rising inflation, ANI reported. She said that instead of bringing "Acche Din" BJP is finishing the nation.
"Inflation is high. LPG, diesel-petrol prices have increased. Businesses affected due to GST, exports down but BJP is not serious to solve these issue. They said will bring 'achhe din' but they are finishing this country," the Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo was quoted by ANI in its report.
In order to fight together against the BJP, TMC Chief on Saturday met Goa Forward Party President Vijay Sardesai. She said that her party wants to avoid any division of votes.
While referring to the meeting Goa Forward Party President, Banerjee said, "We discussed the matter that let's walk together to fight against BJP. So it's their decision to decide. We want to avoid division of votes. So want regional parties that can walk together to fight against BJP."
After the meeting, while referring to Mamata Banerjee as a symbol of regional pride, Sardesai said that Goa Forward Party is also a regional party.
The TMC Supremo is on a three-day visit to the tourist state since her party, TMC had announced that it will also be contesting the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
Earlier on Thursday, after West Bengal CM arrived in Goa, saffron group protesters chanted "Jai Shri Ram" slogans and waved black flags in protest of her visit to the coastal state. Hoardings of "Jai Shri Ram" had been put across the state to rile TMC supremo. However, the BJP State unit chief has denied the party's involvement in this.
