India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 190.50 crore (1,90,50,86,706) as per provisional reports till 7 am on Tuesday, noted the health ministry

New Delhi: Lauding India’s effort, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday said over 87 per cent of the adult population in the country has been inoculated with both doses of Covid-19 vaccine. “With the mantra of 'Sabka Saath & Sabka Prayas', India achieves complete vaccination of over 87% of its adult population. Well done India! Keep following COVID appropriate behaviour even after getting vaccinated," tweeted Mandaviya.

The cumulative vaccination coverage in the country has exceeded 190.50 crore, the Union health ministry informed on Tuesday, reported news agency ANI.  “India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 190.50 crore (1,90,50,86,706) as per provisional reports till 7 am today. In a positive outlook, the daily Covid-19 cases also dipped in the country on Tuesday. Going by the health ministry data,  2,288 new Covid infections  were reported across the country in the last 24 hours. The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) recently approved emergency use authorisation to Bharat Biotech's Covaxin for children between the age group of 6-12 amid rise in the Covid-19 cases in schools.
