Former Rajasthan Minister Vishwendra Alleges Abuse And Torture From Wife And Son, Moves Court

Former Rajasthan Minister Vishwendra Singh accused his wife and son of beating him, not feeding him enough, and preventing him from going out.

Former Rajasthan Minister and a member of the royal family of Bharatpur, Vishwendra Singh has asked his wife and son for maintenance, claiming they beat him, don't feed him enough, and prevent him from going out.

As per ANI report, he stated in his application that he was compelled to leave his home (Moti Mahal). I'm leading a nomadic existence. I have to stay in hotels occasionally and government houses occasionally. I've been kept in just one room. I can't even enter the house when I travel to Bharatpur. Living at home with my wife and son is no longer an option."

However, his wife and son have denied these allegations, asserting that they are the actual victims. "These are just tactics to pressure the SDM. My mother and I have full faith in the SDM Court and the Hon'ble Judge to handle this matter fairly. This issue has been ongoing since March 6, 2024," Vishwendra's son, Anirudh Singh, posted on social media.

Singh is demanding Rs 5 lakh per month in maintenance from both. Vishwendra Singh has accused his wife and son of lying and conspiracy to kill him.

"Their intention is to end my life. After which they can grab all the property. I was hoping that maybe their behaviour would improve in the future, but it did not happen. My wife and son even locked one of my rooms and forcibly threw me out of the house, so I had to leave the house. I brought whatever clothes I had while leaving the house. I have been living like this since then," PTI quoted saying.

Son Claims Accusations To Be Untrue

Singh has mentioned that he is a heart patient. "I cannot bear tension due to two stents inserted during treatment. Tension is fatal for my life. I got Corona twice in the years 2021 and 2022, but my son and wife did not provide any physical, mental, or financial help."

"I own the properties inherited from my father through a will. My wife and son threw my clothes in the well. They tore up papers, records etc., and threw out the stuff from the rooms. They have stopped providing tea and water. He told the court that his wife and son should also be stopped from defaming him through social media," he also said.

In the application submitted to the SDM, Singh has requested that the Moti Mahal Palace properties be returned to him. This includes the Mathura Gate police station area's Moti Mahal, Kothi Darbar, Golbagh Complex, and Suraj Mahal.

Anirudh Singh, his son, has called the accusations untrue.

On Sunday, he declared that the claims that he was beaten and denied food were untrue. "If needed, evidence of financial fraud and the wrong sale of property against my father will be presented in the SDM court," he stated.
