A bus carrying 32 passengers crashed into a gorge near Uttarakhand's Nainital leaving 3 dead, and 18 wounded, news agency ANI reported. State officials and locals evacuated the injured passengers to neighbouring hospitals. The tragedy occurred on Nainital's Kaladhungi route as the bus was heading from Haryana.
"3 people died in Nainital bus accident. 18 rescued so far and further rescue operations underway," said SSP Nainital P N Meena.

The Disaster Control Room in Nainital notified the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), which quickly despatched rescue teams to the accident location.

The accident's cause has yet to be determined.
Earlier in August, a bus transporting people from Gujarat returning from Gangotri Dham in Uttarakhand crashed into a ditch on the Gangotri National Highway near Gangnani. This bus carried 35 people. The bus disaster claimed the lives of seven people.
Following the tragedy, Superintendent of Police Arpan Yaduvanshi stated that 27 persons were rescued, with minor injuries. However, everyone is safe. The bodies of seven people who died have been found. Aside from that, attempts are being done to save one of the passengers.
Over 7 Feared Dead As Landslide Hits Car In Pithoragarh
According to authorities, more than seven persons are believed to be dead when their vehicle was hit by a landslip here on Sunday. According to them, the event happened at Thakti on the Kailash Mansarovar route in Dharchula subdivision, news agency PTI reported. Divesh Shashni, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Dharchula, stated that the car coming from Bundi was involved in an accident about 2 p.m.

He said the automobile was buried behind the landslip debris.According to eyewitnesses, more than seven passengers were in the vehicle at the time, according to Shashni.
The State Disaster Response Force, police, the Indo Tibetan Border Police, and the Army are conducting a search, according to the SDM.
