UP Weather To Undergo Another Change As IMD Forecasts Rain: Check All Details

The India Meteorological Department has issued an alert for Uttar Pradesh, forecasting rainfall in several parts of western Uttar Pradesh.

UP Weather forecast: Uttar Pradesh residents have finally got a breather from the intense cold wave. The minimum temperature has risen as has the average temperature. The temperature in some cities of the state has crossed 23 degrees Celsius. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has again issued a weather alert.

Weather Alert In Uttar Pradesh

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in many districts of western UP today. Along with an orange alert for dense fog in seven districts of Terai, there is a warning of dense fog in 40 districts of the state. After the weather department's alert, it has become clear that people are not going to get relief from the cold yet; it may get even colder with rain.

According to the bulletin issued by the IMD, there is a possibility of light rain or thundershowers at some places in western UP. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also informed that there is a possibility of dense fog in different places in western Uttar Pradesh and dense fog in some places in eastern Uttar Pradesh. The IMD has also indicated the possibility of thunderstorms and lightning in some parts of western Uttar Pradesh.

UP Weather This Week

The IMD said that there is no possibility of any major change in the maximum temperature during the next 24 hours and it is likely to fall by 2-3 degrees Celsius after that. The devotees taking a dip at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj will also get relief from the cold. The temperature in Prayagraj is likely to go up to 28°C.

A bulletin from the IMD read: " Dense fog conditions very likely to continue to prevail during night/early morning hours in some parts of East Uttar Pradesh from January 24-26 and West Uttar Pradesh from January 22-26.
