UP MLA Aman Mani Tripathi Booked After He Tricks Authorities To Travel Kedarnath, Badrinath

The MLA managed to get special passes to cross borders along with 11 people to travel Kedarnath and Badrinath by quoting the reason that he is to attend rites of CM Yogi Adhiyanath's father, who died a few days ago.

Noida: At a time when authorities have stepped up their actions against people violating the lockdown, MLA Uttar Pradesh MLA from Nautanwa Aman Mani Tripathi tricked authorities to travel to  Kedarnath and Badrinath amid nationwide lockdown. The leader has managed to get a pass made on the pretext of attending the last rites of the deceased father of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, who expired on April 20. Tripathi was travelling with 11 others who were also held along with him. He is alleged of acquiring fraudulent special passes to cross borders and travel Kedarnath and Badrinath besides violating the lockdown norms. The leader also misbehaved with authorities and agreed to return back only after a lot of perusal. “He was stopped on the way for screening and later after probing it was found that the MLA had crossed from Uttar Pradesh to Uttarakhand,” said Karnaprayag SDM Vaibhav Gupta. "Aman Mani Tripathi had come from Uttar Pradesh, along with others in three vehicles. They were stopped on the way and he was arrested from Rishikesh. Without stopping they carried on and reached Karnaprayag. An argument ensued with the doctors and administration officials deployed for screening. The group was forced to return," Gupta added. Taking note of the incident, Uttarakhand Police registered an FIR has been registered against UP MLA Aman Mani Tripathi & 11 others.
In reaction to the incident, BJP leader Rakesh Tripathi has also expressed anguish at this incident saying that if the CM has not attended the funeral himself then how can someone go to such an extent. “It’s very surprising how the authorities had given permission to travel till Badrinath and Kedarnath. A probe needs to be done into the matter to check if he has violated the norms and whether the passes are fraudulently made,” says Rakesh Tripathi, spokesperson, BJP,  Uttar Pradesh. Since Badrinath is expected to open on May 15, the motive of his trip to the holy shrine is still not clear. Also, the MLA’s photo has also emerged in social media where he is seen taking a bath in the river. His father is currently serving a term in Uttarakhand jail in the Madhumita Shukla case.
