‘I Knew About The Raid And I Am Close To The Police’: Dubey’s Shocking Confession After Being Arrested
Notorious history-sheeter Vikas Dubey has been killed in an encounter on Friday morning after he tried to escape the police. Soon after his arrest yesterday Dubey made some shocking revelations.
New Delhi: Notorious gangster Vikas Dubey was shot dead in an encounter by Uttar Pradesh STF on Friday morning in Kanpur. As per reports, history-sheeter tried to flee away with arms and was shot in an encounter by the Special Task Force. The gangster was taken to the hospital after he was injured in the encounter.
The history-sheeter was arrested in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday morning at Mahakaal Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh after 6 days of dodging the police. After his arrest in Ujjain, he made some shocking revelations and accepted that it was in fact he and his gang members had attacked the police in Kanpur as he feared an encounter.
"I feared that police are coming to kill me an encounter and that is why I started firing at them. I had already got information about the raid. And that’s why I called all my gang members. In fact, I told them even a day before that there seems to be some kind of danger so bring your weapons,” said Dubey during the confession
He also revealed that he had differences with the CO Devendra Mishra who was shot during the deadly shootout in Kanpur. Dubey also confessed about his reach in the police forces of Uttar Pradesh and how he is close to many police officers. He also revealed about his enmity with CO Devendra Mishra.
“I did not get along with Devendra Mishra. He has often threatened me and I've had arguments with him on several occasions. But I was responsible for killing the CO, my men had fired from a different spot.’ He also revealed the details of killing the CO and confessed that he was shot at a short-range which blew of part of Mishra's face.
"I am close to with several police officials not just in Chaubeypur but in several police stations in Uttar Pradesh. They used to help me," said Dubey giving a glimpse of corruption within the force.
Dubey also said that he had already received information about the raid but was informed that it will happen in the morning. when the police came at night, they were caught off guard and after the shootout escaped the village from whatever route was deemed safe.
