They posted a template "Verify Before You Share" on the micro-blogging site, cautioning people to be aware of fake news and rumours. However, the post went viral and sparked a meme fest on Twitter. The tweet started attracting a lot of peculiar comments with some asking the police to "verify" before they "arrest" while others demanding that the cops should "investigate properly" before they take accused in custody.
