'They Have A Secret Vardaan, If They Want...': PM Modi Mocks Opposition With 3 Examples

He said that he is an example of how whoever is abused by the Opposition, ends up succeeding. "One such example is standing before you," he remarked as NDA leaders applauded in Lok Sabha.

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi, during his response to the no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha, took a dig at the opposition, saying that the opposition has a secret blessing, if they want anything to fail, it will end up succeeding.

He said that he is an example of how whoever is abused by the Opposition, ends up succeeding. "One such example is standing before you. 20 saal ho gaye kya kuch nahi hua par bhala hi hota gaya," he remarked as NDA leaders applauded in Lok Sabha.

"Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) recorded its highest-ever revenue. Despite their (opposition's) allegations, HAL has emerged as the pride of the country. They said many things about LIC that the money of the poor will sink but today LIC is getting stronger. 'Share market vale logo ke liye yeh mantra hai ki jis bhi sarkari company ko yeh gaali de usme daanv laga do acha hi hone vala hai," he added.

"All the organisations of the country that are declared dead by these people, those organisations get lucky. The manner in which they curse the country and democracy, I am confident that the country and democracy are going to get stronger. We too are going to be stronger," he stated.

Modi accused the opposition of prioritizing the party over the nation.

"Through their conduct, a few Opposition parties have proven that for them Party is above Nation. I think you don't care about the hunger of the poor but the hunger for power is on your mind," he said in Lok Sabha.

Modi began her speech by launching a sharp attack on the I.N.D.I.A coalition, saying that the no-confidence motion was a floor test of the Opposition and that BJP would again secure a majority in the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

"In a way, Opposition's no-confidence has always been lucky for us. Today, I can see that you (Opposition) have decided that NDA and BJP will come back in 2024 elections with a grand victory, breaking all previous records, with the blessings of the people," the PM said.

PM Modi's fiery speech somes a day after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, in a no-holds-barred attack, accused the BJP of setting Manipur and the country on fire with its politics of "hate" and "division".

The objective of the Congress and the Opposition INDIA alliance to move the no-trust motion was to get Modi to address the House.
