100-Year-Old To 6-Month-Old Prove That Covid-19 Can Be Beaten!

There is hope around the corner and these extraordinary cases of recovery will remind you that all is still not lost.
A 101-year-old man from the UK- Keith Watson from Worcestershire, England came for surgery to the hospital but tested positive for coronavirus. Despite his age, he managed to beat the virus within two weeks of treatment at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch. News about his recovery was posted on Facebook by the hospital. In the UK where confirmed cases have crossed 90,000, the post gave everyone hope.
99-year-old Brazilian WWII veteran- Ernando Piveta born on October 7, 1920, is the latest to recover from COVID-19. He had been a member of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force which was formed to fight alongside the Allied Forces during World War II. He was admitted to the hospital on April 6 and treated in the ‘COVID ward’. His discharge on April 14th coincided with the 75th anniversary of WWII victory by Brazilian Forces called ‘Taking of Montese’, a campaign by Brazilian troops in Italy during the war.
India’s oldest couple Thomas and Mariyamma- Kerala had been one of the earliest hotspots in India. During the wake of the pandemic the diaspora spread around the world, returned to the state unknowingly bringing with them the virus. 93-year-old Thomas and 88-year-old Mariyamma got infected by their son who had come back from Italy. Hailing from Pathanamthitta district, the two got admitted to a hospital on March 9th. Even though both suffered from other ailments such as heart and urinary problems and they were in a critical condition, they recovered and were discharged from the hospital after testing negative.
2- month- old from Italy- The baby was reported to be the youngest in Italy to have tested positive for the virus. And while people expected the worst, the baby overcame the disease. The baby was admitted to the hospital along with the mother in the southern city of Bari on March 18. After the baby showed no symptoms and temperature was back to normal, she was discharged along with the mother who also recovered on April 9.
6-month-old and 10- month old babies- From Mumbai and Coimbatore respectively, this news was heartening for many. In fact, in Kalyan, near Mumbai, residents of the housing society where the baby’s family lived came out to their balconies to welcome the infant with whistles and claps when he returned home with his mother after getting discharged from Kasturba Hospital in Mumbai on April 12.
