Sidhu Moose Wala Murder: Police Trace Sequence Of Attack On CCTV, Recover Cars Used During Attack
Three people, all belonging to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have been arrested in the case so far.
New Delhi: The Punjab police Wednesday said it has traced the entire sequence of the murder of popular singer Sidhu Moose Wala with the help of CCTV footage. According to the police, the shooters had come in two four wheelers, Corolla and Bolero, and shot dead Moose Wala, said SSP Mansa Gaurav Tura, reported ABP News. On the way, they also robbed an Alto car. All three vehicles have been recovered by the police.
Three people, all belonging to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have been arrested in the case so far. The investigating team expressed confidence of finding lead into the murder of Moose Wala after making the arrest. The Punjab police also said it is working in tandem with the Delhi police to quickly crack the case.
Meanwhile, Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, a suspect in the murder of the Punjabi singer Wednesday withdrew from the Delhi High Court his plea seeking necessary safeguards as he apprehended a “fake encounter” by the Punjab Police.
Bishnoi is an accused in the MCOCA case and was lodged in Tihar Jail. On Tuesday, he was remanded in three-day custody of the Delhi Police Special Cell after it arrested him in an Arms Act case, reported PTI.
Punjabi singer Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Mansa district of Punjab on Sunday. The attackers shot Sidhu Moose Wala with 25 bullets, reported news agency ANI.
The video footage that surfaced showed the singer's car sprayed with bullets, with a number of them piercing the windscreen and the bonnet.
Preliminary post-mortem report revealed bullet wounds on Moose Wala's chest, feet and abdomen.
