Madhya Pradesh government has announced Unlock 1 from June 1st

Bhopal: The Shivraj Singh government announced that Madhya Pradesh will commence the process of Unlock 1 from June 1st as the coronavirus cases in the state is under control. 

The Madhya Pradesh government has said that the Unlock will be done in a phased manner and some restrictions will be lifted in the state from June 1st.

The government will soon release the guidelines related to Unlock 1. 

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, " Cannot keep the state locked forever, will have to lift restrictions in few days in a phased manner."

Madhya Pradesh has been recording less than 5000 cases for the past 3 days and the positivity rate has also reached 5% mark. 

On Friday, Madhya Pradesh reported 4,384 new coronavirus cases and 79 fatalities in a span of 24 hours. The recoveries outnumbered the fresh infections, bringing the count of active cases below the 70,000-mark to 67,625.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Kamal Nath has claimed that more than one lakh people have died in the state due to Covid-19 in March-April this year as per the figures provided by the cremation grounds and graveyards and accused the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led BJP government of hiding the real fatality count.

The Shivraj government however termed the claim as 'false and misleading'
