Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and will perform the Bhoomi Pujan on August 5. He will travel to Ayodhya and will lead the ground-breaking ceremony, on the invite of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerath Kshetra Trust, starting off the construction work for the temple.
Reacting at the development, the NCP leader took a jibe at PM Modi and said that people should focus on controlling the spread of the novel Coronavirus instead of prioritising Bhoomi Pujan.
During a visit to Solapur to take stalk of the Coronavirus situation earlier today, Pawar said, "You have to decide what to focus on. We hold the belief that Coronavirus should be eliminated with utmost priority but some people think that Ram Temple will be built and that's how Coronavirus will be defeated."
He went on to say that "the state and central government should pay attention to the fact that lockdown is causing huge financial loss to the people. Helping people in this situation should be a priority."
