Samba, Jammu: Chotu Ram is the only student in this govt school with 6 teachers

As per the education authorities, the attendance is so low in spite of the school being the only school in that area.

Samba, Jammu: Class 8th student Chotu Ram is the only student in a government school in Jamora, Jammu with 6 teachers. Chitu Ram, who is keen on learning, and wants to become something in life, claims that he goes to school every day and that there are two other students in the junior classes.  “I come to school regularly. I am the only student in class 8 while there are two other students in junior classes”. As per the education authorities, the attendance is so low in spite of the school being the only school in that area. Speaking on the situation, Chief Education officer of Samba, Ram Paul said “"Since there is no other school in that vicinity, extra teachers were deployed. However, if there are more teachers in that school we will transfer them. We will also order an enquiry into it”.
