'Sabka Sath Lekin Apne Parivar Ka Vikas': Yogi Adityanath Takes A Dig At SP, Cong
"Their perspective never went beyond their families. They did not care about the society and country, that's why the state was thrown into utter chaos," UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said.
New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday took a dig at Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress while addressing a Backward Classes Conference (Pichda Varg Sammelan) in Lucknow.
Taking a dig at SP and Congress, Adityanath said that in 2014, the slogan for the elections was "Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas," but the slogans of the ruling party both in Uttar Pradesh and the country used to be "Sabka Sath Lekin Apne Parivar Ka Vikas." He said that the parties previously in power only cared about their family's development as they had no concern for the society or the nation.

"Their perspective never went beyond their families. They did not care about the society and country, that's why the state was thrown into utter chaos," he added.
"When festivals used to come, income had to be earned, faith had to be respected, there were curfews imposed in the state, which led to riots. The previous government in UP used to work to advance the rioters. Not a single riot has happened in UP in the last 4.5 years," Chief Minister further added.

The UP Assembly elections are scheduled to be conducted in 2022. However, if the elections have to happen now, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) looks affirmative to retain power in the state, as per the ABP News along with C-Voter Survey. The survey data reveals that BJP is most likely to regain a massive mandate, just like the 2017 Assembly elections, with 289 out of 403 Legislative Assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Opposition parties such as Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Congress appear to be struggling to gain voters' confidence. As per the survey's March 2021 data, SP is likely to get 59 seats (+12) in case elections in Uttar Pradesh happen today, while BSP and Congress may get 38 seats (+19), 9 seats (-3) respectively.
