'Blood On Hands Of Cong's Hands': BJP Slams Karnataka Govt After Stampede At RCB Victory Event

Karnataka BJP deemed the Home Minister "incompetent" for allegedly mishandling crowd control and denying permission for an open-top bus parade, which they believe contributed to the tragedy.

RCB Victory Parade Stampede: After the death of three individuals and injuries to several others during a stampede-like situation outside Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Karnataka BJP has sharply criticised State Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara, calling him "incompetent" for allegedly mishandling crowd control and denying permission for an open-top bus parade.

Taking to X, Karnataka BJP said, "7 dead. Many are battling for life after a stampede due to the irresponsibility of Congress govt.  No crowd control measures. No basic arrangements. Just chaos. While innocent people died, @siddaramaiah &  @DKShivakumar
were busy shooting reels & hogging limelight with cricketers. Shame on this photo-op Congress government."

"This is criminal negligence. Blood is on the hands of Congress govt," they said.

The BJP also claimed that denial of an organised open bus parade led to unregulated crowding outside the stadium, contributing to the tragedy. In another post, the BJP said: “A dream of many years of fans @RCBTweets came true this year!! But by refusing permission for the players to celebrate their victory in an open bus, the accidental Home Minister @DrParameshwara has once again proven himself to be incompetent. Fans were waiting to see their favorite players up close, and Parameshwara has ruined their excitement.”

Taking to X, BJP IT Cell Chief Amit Malviya said, "Tragic stampede in Bengaluru. A celebration has turned into a nightmare. At an event organised by the Karnataka State Government to celebrate RCB’s IPL campaign, a stampede broke out due to poor planning and crowd mismanagement."

He said that the incident could have been avoided and there was a failure in crowd control by Karnataka government.

Tejasvi Surya, Bengaluru BJP South MP said, "Urging citizens of Namma Bengaluru to celebrate with responsibility. Let this moment of joy not be overshadowed by tragedy."
