Ranveer Singh's 'offensive' ad pulled down after Twitter outrage
New Delhi: Actor Ranveer Singh's new advertisement for a clothing brand is creating a lot of buzz on the social media. The ad, which shows the actor dressed in office wear with a woman over his shoulder, has been slammed and called ‘sexist’.
The tagline of the ad, which says; 'Don't Hold Back. Take Your Work Home' gives away several offensive meanings and hence, has been criticized at length. According to many, the ad gives away a wrong message to the society and is against women. The ad was condemned on Twitter as well.
Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth posted an angry tweet calling the ad as 'a new low' for women's rights at the work place. The brand later sought an apology, during a conversation with an English daily.
