Around 15,000 bank cheques valued at Rs 22 crore collected by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) for construction of Ayodhya’s Ram temple have bounced due to insufficient funds in the bank accounts of the donors or some technical fault.

This came to the fore following an audit report of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, a trust set up by the Central Government, for the temple’s construction.

Dr Anil Mishra, one of the trust members of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, said the banks have asked the people to make donations again and working to solve the issue of technical glitches, PTI reported.
