Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday unveiled the Ram Lalla idol at the Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple in Ayodhya.

The Prime Minister, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, and Governor Ananadiben Patel offered prayers to Ram Lalla at the consecration ceremony. The idol was unveiled at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya during the pranpratishtha ceremony. Earlier, flower petals rained down from a helicopter over the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple premises in Ayodhya. The aerial spectacle was part of the grand 'pran pratishtha' (consecration ceremony) of Lord Ram Lalla's idol, presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The highly anticipated inauguration of the Ram Mandir took place in a grand ceremony, marking a historic moment for the nation. PM Modi attended the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, which commenced at 12:20 pm and is slated to conclude by 1 pm.

PM Modi will also address a gathering of over 7,000 people, including seers and prominent personalities, at the venue. PM Narendra Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Governor Ananadiben Patel offered prayers to Ram Lalla.

The grand temple in Ayodhya is built in the traditional Nagara style and spans over 380 feet. The temple is 250 feet wide, and 161 feet tall. It is a three-storeyed structure, with 392 pillars and 44 gates, will eventually be open to the public.
