'My Rajini's Well-Being Is Of Utmost Importance': Kamal Haasan Responds To Rajinikanth's Exit From Politics

Chennai: After actor Rajinikanth announced his decision to halt his political entry, MNM chief Kamal Haasan shared his reaction to it wishing good health for his friend and contemporary. ALSO READ | Rajinikanth Exits Electoral Politics: Not To Participate In Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2021, Cites Health Reasons Rajinikanth on Tuesday took to Twitter to announce that he will not be able to proceed with his plan to enter politics because of his health concerns. "My hospitalisation was a warning given by God. My campaign will impact my health amid the pandemic," his statement read. Actor turned politician Kamal Haasan who is the president of Makkal Needhi Maiam party (MNM) spoke about the development while addressing a gathering amid his campaign. Expressing solidarity with the Rajini fans, the MNM chief stated that the well-being of "my Rajini" is of utmost importance. "Many will enquire about friend Rajini's announcement.. before they do so I'll tell (my views). After the campaign concludes, I will meet him again. I feel the same way as his fans do at this point. Nevertheless, his well-being is the most important aspect for me," he said. "My Rajini should be in good health. He should be living well wherever he may be," he added. "This is all for now. I shall share the news about him myself after meeting him," the 'Vishwaroopam' actor-director concluded. Earlier, when asked about having a political alliance with 'Thalaivaa', the 'Ulaganayagan' expressed his willingness to have a tie-up if there was a common ground reached with respect to their vision and ideologies for the betterment of the state. Tamil Nadu is slated to have its assembly election in 2021 and parties in the fray have begun campaigning for the same. While there was a lot of anticipation and speculation over Rajinikanth's political arrival, all the talk has been put to rest by the letter shared by him today.
