Rajasthan: Rahul wants Pilot for CM post but lacks courage to declare it, says Javadekar

JAIPUR: Hitting out at the Congress for not declaring its chief ministerial candidate in Rajasthan, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Thursday said its president Rahul Gandhi has the name of state unit chief Sachin Pilot in his heart for the top post but lacks the courage to declare it in public. Javadekar was speaking at 'Shikhar Sammelan' organised by ABP News ahead of the December 7 assembly polls. Javadekar claimed that not only the BJP will retain Rajasthan but will win all the upcoming assembly elections. "We are winning with a comfortable majority in Rajasthan. It will be a 3-0 victory for BJP in five states. The Congress will be dislodged from Mizoram," the human resource development minister said. When asked if chief minister Vasundhara Raje failed to connect with the common man, Javadekar said: "It's wrong to say she does not interact with people of the state.  You can see in Gaurav Yatra how she goes out and meets the masses and connects with them." On voters in Rajasthan having a tradition of alternating between Congress and BJP every five years, the minister said the people are fed up of having different governments every five years and the trend will change through this election. In the run-up to the polls, the BJP was mocking the Congress of being headless in the state.
