The ED visited the residence of contractor Bhajanlal Vishnoi and scrutinised the documents.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched an investigation into the paper leak case in Rajasthan. The ED visited the residence of contractor Bhajanlal Vishnoi and scrutinised the documents. The Special Operations Group (SOG) had previously taken action against Bhajanlal in connection with the REET paper leak case. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been deployed outside the contractor's house in Mahavir Nagar. Additionally, the team of ED officials, accompanied by CRPF personnel, including officers and soldiers, also visited the residence of Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) member Babulal Katara.

The investigation agency carried out search operations at 27 places in the REET paper leak case. The places include Barmer, Dungarpur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Jalore, Sanchore, Banswara.

In April, the SOG team arrested Babu Lal Katara, a member of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, along with his nephew and a driver working for the commission, in relation to the alleged paper leak of the senior teacher recruitment exam.

Previously, in February, the Rajasthan Police apprehended the prime accused, Bhupendra Saran, in the paper leak case in Bengaluru. He was subsequently brought to Udaipur by the police. Saran was arrested by the SOG and Rajasthan Police at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.

According to the police, Saran is facing charges in two different police stations in Udaipur, as reported by the news agency ANI. The SOG successfully apprehended Saran after a six-day operation in Bengaluru, the police stated at the time.

The police Commissionerate of Jaipur had issued a statement confirming the arrest and seizure of degrees and mark sheets from over four dozen fake universities, exposing a fake degree racket.

The 2nd-grade teacher competitive examination for General Knowledge in 2022 was cancelled due to the leaked paper. The exam was rescheduled for January 29.
