Rajasthan Budget: CM Ashok Gehlot Announces 1 Lakh Posts For Unemployed Youth

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, while proposing the state Budget, announced 1 lakh vacancies for the unemployed youth.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday announced 1 lakh recruitment opportunities for the unemployed youths of the state during the Budget announcement in the assembly. Gehlot also said that the government would start hostel facilities in 20 colleges, including Ganganagar College.

During his address in the assembly, CM Gehlot, who also holds the finance portfolio in Rajasthan, said that the finance management in the state has been excellent. "That is why we have been able to work towards education, health, and roads." He said: "Our Budget would be discussed in the whole country. I believe that political parties will use our Budget as a model in their manifestos in states that are going to polls." The Chief Minister also said that the government had done a lot of work in the field of social security. 

CM Gehlot said the central government is discriminating against the states. He said that the central government has disrupted the budget of states. The consolidated fund of the state government is also being disturbed. "The Centre will disburse less than Rs 21,266 crore less to the Rajasthan," he added.

Among the key Budget announcements by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot were:

1. One lakh new posts for the unemployed youth of Rajasthan.
2. Organ transplant facilities outside the state under Chiranjeevi Yojana.
3. Trade workshops in all residential schools.
4. Establishment of iStart Hub in Bikaner. iStart Rajasthan is a flagship initiative by the Rajasthan government for startups in Rajasthan, intended to foster innovation and create jobs.
5. New government colleges.
6. Urdu BEd College for girls in Hawamahal, Jaipur. 
7. Regular yoga and meditation classes at Sanskrit College.
8. Training for staffers at English schools.
9. Play elements in Mahatma Gandhi Government schools. This will cost the state Rs 50 crore.
10. Defence Training Preparation Institute will be set up in Jaipur
11. As many as 75 vehicles will be purchased for Rajasthan's tourist assistance teams.
12. Temples will be developed to boost the religious tourism sector.
13. Rare documents of the Albert Hall will be digitised.
14. A special task force will be opened within the special operations group of the Rajasthan Police to take action against land mafia.
15. The posts of Naib Tehsildar and Nursing Superintendent will be gazetted.
