Punjab Govt Increases VAT On Petrol, Diesel. Know Hiked Fuel Rates For The State
Fuel prices have been hiked in Punjab after the state government revised the VAT on Sunday.
Punjab government on Sunday increased the value-added tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel. Petrol will now cost Rs. 98.65 per litre and diesel prices will be Rs 88.95 per litre in the state, reported ANI.
Terming it as "hypocrisy" BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said, "AAP Govt in Punjab today increased VAT on Petrol-Diesel and Kejriwal is attacking Modi Govt over fuel prices! If hypocrisy had a face it would look like this. Why has VAT in Punjab been increased ? Whose lavish lifestyle & security is being subsidised by punishing the kisan and common man?"
