  • Only 50 percent capacity: In order to ensure the safety of customers the government has put restrictions on large groups. The guidelines say that bars and pubs will serve 50 percent of customers at a time on their premises. This means that it is better to make reservations before visiting.
  • Six feet distancing: Bars and pubs will have to ensure six feet of social distancing among people. This means that you may not be able to enjoy sitting together in a group.
  • No dance floors: Since it is necessary to maintain social distancing areas that can attract large crowds will remain shut. So you may not be able to shake a leg soon.
  • Masks and gloves: It is mandatory for visitors and staff to wear masks and gloves. This compulsion of masks and gloves, people might find it a bit difficult to spend long hours at these places.
  • Thermal screening before entry: According to media reports, customers will have to undergo thermal screening before entering. Those found with symptoms or high temperatures may be denied entry.
The news has come as a relief for the nightlife industry that suffered major losses due to the lockdown. While bar and pub owners are enthusiastic about the decision, the steadily rising Covid 19 cases in the country may mean that it will take some time for business to be back on track.
