PM Modi To Address All-Party Meet At 10:30 AM Today, Covid Vaccine Discussion Likely
The review of the pandemic situation and the probable vaccine network are likely to be discussed in the meeting.
Coronavirus: Amid the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will convene an all-party meeting to discuss the present situation of the pandemic in the country. Notably, this will be the second such meeting called by the Central government ever since the Coronavirus outbreak was announced in the country. Prime Minister is expected to interact with floor leaders of various parties from both houses of parliament at 10:30 am today.
The first meeting was held on April 20 amid a nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of the virus. The review of the pandemic situation and the probable vaccine network are likely to be discussed in the meeting.

The meeting is likely to be attended by BJP President JP Nadda and Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad besides Sudip Bandopadhyay from TMC, Pinaki Mishra from BJD, Ram Gopal Yadav from Samajwadi Party, Sharad Pawar from NCP, Nageswara Rao from TRS, Midhun Reddy from YSR Congress, TR Baloo from DMK and Vinayak Raut from Shiv Sena.
As per reports, the Parliamentary Affairs Ministry is coordinating the meeting and has extended invitation to all parties.
The top brass of the government including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah besides Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and Parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi may also be present in the meeting.
Modi has held multiple meetings with chief ministers, laying special emphasis on states with high COVID-19 caseload, to review the situation there and offer suggestions.

With 35,551 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, India's overall tally increased to 95,34,964 on Thursday, as 526 more fatalities took the Covid-19 death toll to 1,38,648, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.
