PM Narendra Modi Speech Highlights: In his seventh address to the nation, PM highlighted about the long distance covered by India in controlling the Coroanvirus spread in the society since the Janata Curfew.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the nation on Tuesday evening said that India has stabilised COVID-19 situation and with the approaching festivals, the citizens need to continue to follow the Coronavirus preventive norms. He urged the citizens to continue following the norms of social distancing norms and not be careless while festival celebrations. Ever since the breakout of the novel Coronavirus, PM Modi has often taken to televised address to announce major decisions or developments. In his last such address, he had on June 30 announced distribution of free ration to over 80 crore people, mostly poor, by five more months till November end under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY). Lockdown Gone But Covid-19 Exists: Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his speech saying that as the festival time approaching, people have started becoming careless and not putting masks while going to the crowded place. He reminded people that the lockdown has gone but the Coronavirus still exists. India Recovery Rate High, Fatality Rate Low: PM Modi during his address to the nation highlighted the major milestone achieved by India in controlling the spread of the Coronavirus infection. "COVID-19  recovery rate in the country is good while the fatality rate in India is 83 for one million population. The figure is more than 600 in countries like USA, Brazil, Spain," PM Modi said. 10 Crore Tests In India: Our country will soon cross the 10 crore test number which is in itself a massive achievement in our fight against Coronavirus. Our corona warriors including doctors, nurses and health workers have all served our massive population minutely. This is not the time to be careless. Not The Time To Be Careless: Further in his speech, PM urged the citizens to continue following the COVID-19 norms -- follow social distancing , do not over crowd any place and put a face mask to prevent infection from spreading further. 'Jab Tak Dawai Nahi, Tab Tak Dhilayi Nahi': PM Modi mentioned that several versions of COVID-19 vaccines are being worked upon in India. Many of them are at advanced stage of clinical trial. The government is also developing the system to ensure the delivery of vaccine to each citizen. Till then, every citizen needs to be cautious, said PM Modi. Don't Underestimate Covid Threat: Quoting Ramcharitmaanas and Kabir, PM Modi attempted to say that we should never underestimate an enemy, a mistake and an ailment. He went on to say that just like farmers take rest only after the crops are brought home from the field, similarly, we should relax only after Covid-19 is brought under control.
