Congress, RJD Responsible For Labourers' Migration From Bihar: PM At Siwan Rally

Modi urged the people to be cautious for the sake of Bihar’s future, warning against those attempting to derail the state’s progress. Further, PM's remarks come as state prepares for polls this year.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a strong attack on the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), holding them responsible for the mass migration of labourers from Bihar during a rally in Siwan ahead of the upcoming state assembly elections.

Addressing the crowd, Modi said, "The 'panja' and 'lantern' people together have hurt the pride of Bihar. They looted so much that poverty became Bihar's misfortune... But Modi is not the one who becomes quiet after doing so much work. I have to do a lot more for Bihar. Those who brought 'jungle raj' to Bihar are looking for an opportunity to repeat their old deeds somehow."

Modi urged the people to be cautious for the sake of Bihar’s future, warning against those attempting to derail the state’s progress. "You have to be very cautious for the bright future of your children. People who are ready to put the brake on the journey towards a prosperous Bihar have to be kept at bay... These people used to raise slogans of 'gareebi hatao'. But the NDA government made it possible after you voted for us," he added.

The Prime Minister’s remarks come as Bihar prepares for polls scheduled in October-November this year.

PM Modi In Bihar

In a significant boost to the region’s development, Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple infrastructure projects in Siwan. Highlighting the government’s focus on improving connectivity, he inaugurated the new Vaishali–Deoria railway line project worth over Rs 400 crore and flagged off a new train service along this route.

Further enhancing transportation links in North Bihar, Modi also flagged off the Vande Bharat Express running between Patliputra and Gorakhpur via Muzaffarpur and Bettiah, promising to accelerate economic growth and development in the area.
