New Delhi: Journalist Pooja Tiwari’s death mysterious circumstances is a question for which everyone seeks an answer. candlecomp1 In an urge to bring out the facts, The National Union of Journalists along with Delhi Journalists Association held a candlelight vigil at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, demanding a CBI probe in her death case. Tiwari, 28, was found dead in a pool of blood under apartment in the intervening night of May 1 and May 2. Police has registered a suicide case but the journalist's family and friends claim it is not a suicide. Anil Pandey, President, Delhi Journalists Association said, “Pooja’s death was under mysterious circumstances and we don’t trust the investigation by Haryana police. We want a CBI probe in this case.” He further added, “Pooja was falsely implicated in that case by the doctors. The Police also supported them. These kind of cases are increasing day by day. In the past 4 months, journalists have faced 22 different kind of attacks. There should be a Journalist Protection Act for all journalists to avoid such unfortunate incidents in the future. He touched this point as well that they got to know from some sources that the suspect’s relatives are also in Haryana police so facts may have been tampered. candlecomp Other friends stressed that the FIR that was filed against Pooja was baseless and came with no evidence. Another friend also said that they wanted a CBI probe into the doctor’s case as well to bring out the truth so that it should be clear whether the FIR and the cases against Pooja were correct or not. Overall, a CBI investigation in both the cases (doctor’s) and Pooja’s death was their demand so that the mystery gets solved. It was decided that if CBI doesn’t intervene in the matter within 10 days, a similar protest on a large scale will be organized at a prominent place. At the time of the incident, police inspector Amit Vashishth and a friend Amreen was with Tiwari, who has been sent to a 4-day remand. Tewari's parents have accused him of pushing Tiwari from the fifth floor of the apartment where she was staying. Tiwari’s family and friends claim that she cannot commit suicide as she was a very strong person who had the courage to fight all odds. Interestingly, Tewari spoke with her parents and friends hours before the ill-fated incident took place and they say Tewari was not depressed. Tiwari, who originally hails from Indore, was working with IamDNA, an arm of Zee Media, and had conducted a stin  g operation on dubious doctors.
