Passenger On Mumbai-Ranchi IndiGo Flight Vomits Blood, Dies After Plane Makes Emergency Landing
A male passenger onboard a Ranchi-bound IndiGo flight died after vomitting blood soon after the plane made an emergency landing when his health deteriorated.
In a tragic incident, a 62-year-old male passenger onboard Mumbai to Ranchi IndiGo flight died after he vomited blood on the plane and was later brought dead to a hospital in Maharashtra. According to a statement from KIMS Kingsway Hospitals, the man was suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and tuberculosis, reported ANI. The plane was diverted to Nagpur and made an emergency landing when his health deteriorated.
"A 62-year-old male passenger was suffering from CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) & tuberculosis and omitted a large amount of blood in an aircraft (going from Mumbai to Ranchi) and was brought dead. Body was taken to GMCH in KIMS Kingsway Hospitals Ambulance for further procedures," says Aejaz Shami, DGM-Branding & Communications, KIMS Kingsway Hospitals.
The airline also issued a statement. It said that IndiGo flight 6E 5093, operating from Mumbai to Ranchi was diverted to Nagpur due to a medical emergency on board.

"The passenger was offloaded and was rushed to the hospital for further medical assistance. Unfortunately, the passenger did not survive. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones," the airline said, as quoted by ANI.
